After studying the designs and flaws of optical switches, we have developed our innovative switch mechanism. Our new and improved switch design helps reduce the physical wear on the switches while providing a smooth typing experience.
Mechanical Switches or Optical Switches
Optical switches feel a little like linear mechanical switches (no tactile bump) but a bit smoother. This is because there isn't a leaf with any friction. Instead, optical switches work with a light beam to sense when the switch passes through it (actuates). In this way, the switches have quicker response rates than mechanical ones. Optical switches also usually last twice as much as mechanical switches with a lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes.
Compatible with MX Structure Keycaps
Chocolate switches are designed with general MX structure so that they can fit most keycaps sets with (X) cross stem. This feature greatly improves the compatibility and you can feel free to change to other optical switches and remake your own keyboard.
Built-in LED Slot & Durable Lifespan
Chocolate switches are equipped with north-facing LED slot for LED modification. It is also compatible with SMD LED. This provides more fun feature and options for those who are DIYers. With a lifespan of approximate 100 million times of keystrokes based on a laboratory durability test, you may rest assured with the long lifespan.

With 4.4mm total travel, they are better for gamers; regarding Chocolate optical brown/blue switches, they are tactile with heavy end force of 60gf and 4.0mm total travel, so you can fully feel the pleasure of typing and gaming.
